For data center campuses that require both cooling and heating, some data centers use independent cold and heat sources. For example, indirect evaporative cooling air conditioning systems are used for cooling, and municipal hot water or gas-fired boilers are used for heating. Some data centers use condensate heat recovery technology, using heat pump units for cooling in summer, and cooling and heating in winter. This paper analyses data center campuses that require both cooling and heating, and explores the feasibility and application scenarios of different solutions through data comparison.
